KTH DESIGNS REMOTE MANAGEMEMENT SYSTEM TO SUPPORT  NETWORK EQUIPMENT IN ISOLATED AREAS

Condroid remote management implements an innovative system to support network devices located in remote and harsh areas where there is no internet.

The Condroid remote management team consists of 6 KTH master students who worked together to develop a system which provides management of equipments such as routers or repeaters located in remote areas. This solution simply uses “SMS service” on GSM network to control remote devices and consists of application running on the Android smart phone. We feel strongly that this solution is helpful to be used to support and trouble shout network devices in remote areas. Remote Management system solution is robust, power lean, and has the ability to use locally available energy sources. In fact, one of the most important characteristics of the system is that it implements low power consuming method to control remote devices.
